Kitchen Cabinet Refinishing

We refinish cabinet doors, panels, and other visible kitchen surfaces. Before work begins, we check the material, edges, existing finish, grease, and moisture damage.

Refinishing kitchen cabinet fronts

Kitchen cabinet surfaces we refinish

Before painting, we remove grease, check the existing finish, and test a small area.

Refinished kitchen cabinet result

Solid-wood cabinet fronts

What We Do
We clean, repair minor defects, sand, and apply a new finish.
Result
An updated kitchen that keeps the quality solid-wood foundation.

Important: Small joints between wood parts may become visible again as humidity changes.

Veneered cabinet fronts

What We Do
We clean and lightly sand them, secure accessible loose edges, adjust the color, and apply protection.
Result
Preserved wood grain with a renewed finish.

Important: Worn-through or bubbled veneer may need to be replaced in the damaged area instead of sanded further.

Painted MDF cabinet fronts

What We Do
We check its condition, repair edges, prime, and paint with compatible materials.
Result
An even new color with your selected sheen.

Important: Water-swollen MDF cannot be restored to its original shape and usually needs replacement.

Areas around handles and the stove

What We Do
We thoroughly remove grease, repair worn areas, and renew the protective finish.
Result
A consistent appearance across the most visible working areas.

Important: Grease, silicone, and furniture polish can prevent paint adhesion. We clean and test these areas especially carefully.

Decorative frames and shaped details

What We Do
We gently clean the molding, prepare recesses by hand, and apply thin coats.
Result
Crisp details without drips or an overly thick paint layer.

Important: Heavy old coatings may hide damage and require additional hand preparation.

End panels, toe kicks, and visible panels

What We Do
We use the right preparation for wood, plastic, or laminate, then bring the visible pieces to a consistent color.
Result
A cohesive look throughout the kitchen.

Important: Laminate, plastic, and natural wood require different primers and may not have identical textures.

We check color and sheen on a physical sample because screens can distort color. Cabinet boxes and other kitchen components are quoted separately. We do not change the kitchen layout.

Why Choose This Service

Complete preparation

We remove grease, repair damage, prime, and paint with materials suited to each cabinet surface.

Every detail is considered

Edges, backs, panels, and hardware openings are included in the plan before work begins.

Preserve or change the look

We can preserve the wood grain or paint the cabinet fronts a solid color.

What to Consider

Before work begins, we check the material, the old coating, and any nearby surfaces that need protection.

  1. Swollen MDF and particleboard with damaged edges may need replacement.

  2. Separated veneer and thermofoil cabinet fronts require a separate inspection.

  3. Grease, silicone, and furniture polish can reduce paint adhesion.

  4. Countertops, cabinet boxes, and layout changes are not part of cabinet-front refinishing and are quoted separately.

  5. A refinished surface may differ from a factory finish, so we check the color and sheen on a sample.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can thermofoil cabinet fronts be painted?

We first check the condition of the film and base. If the film is peeling, we remove it and determine whether the MDF underneath can be repainted.

Do you paint the back side?

If requested. The back requires additional preparation and paint, so it is quoted separately.

Can the hardware be replaced?

New hardware can be installed if it fits the existing holes or the holes can be moved safely. We confirm this before painting.

Do I need to remove and transport the cabinet fronts?

No. We come to your property, remove the cabinet fronts on site, prepare and paint them, and reinstall them.
